It's ironic that I've waited since Christmas for this day and here it is. My heart is heavy today.
I labeled "2017 the year of missing" a while back - missing you
Other news in Isabella Land: HALLOWEEN is CLOSER. So is Afrojack! Annnnnnnnnnd Coldplay and Universal Studios. The scary night thing that they do, I've already placed a bet that I'll pee my pants. This weekend will be fun!
I think I've mentioned it's my first time decorating on my terms so I'm window shopping trying to figure out what I can place on the porch, what will hang on the sliding door, the windows, etc. I'm limited on storage space but am determined to be as festive as possible. This.all.makes.me.excited.
Reverting back to the present moment, I stayed local this weekend. Saw a good friend today, did "all of the laundry" and am capping this day out by cooking, lifting, putting a facemask to use and spending *at least* an hour reading What Darwin Got Wrong. Also another book I'm reading is called The Devil in France. Be on the lookout for an excerpt about What Darwin Got Wrong sometime this week. It's an interesting perspective to look at evolution and criticize old-school theories and modernize them to present day. Bare with me and keep in mind that though I love anthropology with *every skeletal bone in my body,* it's one of those subjects that is open to interpretation depending on your perspective and what you've researched. I'm still in the intermediate phases on antho and was reminded today about Mesoamerica, the rise and fall, etc etc.
....why am i book nerd.... ?
So, my question for you, did you de-compose today? I've heard that it's "football Sunday" and if you spent your time yelling at a TV, who were you rooting for? (Yes, ah, I'm sorry I'm a Pats fan but alas, I'm a bandwagon fan). Looks like the Panthers beat the Patriots, but the Bills (!) won and so did the Broncos....
Please feel completely free to yell at me for being 100% un-knowledge about sports. *sigh* I know about soccer!!!!!
On Sundays I'm usually up late. Trying to adjust that! If you're part insomniac, or ahem zombie, try tea. or toast at night. shut off the lights and light a candle. or adjust your settings and tint the contrast. go to bed tonight! MONDAY is tomorrow. Monday's set the stone.
